How to Recycle Perfume bottles

2019-03-11

Many perfume bottles have a beautiful design and are ideal for repeated use. By disassembling and cleaning your perfume bottles, you can be ready to recycle or craft your favorite items on a regular basis. Giving your perfume bottle a new life.

Cut off the plastic valve and loosen the metal around the bottle neck. Check the top of the perfume and cut off any plastic with a knife or sharp scissors and wrap the metal with the top of the bottle in plastic. Discard the plastic. Gently, use a blade to bypass the base of the exposed metal connector.

Keep the metal on top of the bottle until it starts to loosen. Be careful not to apply too much to the thin glass neck of the bottle.

Use a needle-nose pliers to remove the metal around the neck. Hold the perfume bottle firmly with one hand and the loose metal with the other hand with the other hand. Apply a slight pressure and pull the metal straight up until the perfume bottle falls off.

When pulling out the metal connector, be careful not to spill any remaining perfume in the bottle.

Discard the metal connector in the trash can.

Discard or retain any remaining perfume.  If you plan to save, pour the perfume into another glass container. Tighten the top. Pour in any perfume you don't want to keep in the sink and rinse the drain with hot water.

If you like, you can discard the remaining perfume in the trash, but your trash will have a strong aroma until you take it out.
Rinse the perfume bottle with hot tap water. Open the sink to make the water flow gentle rather than fast. Fill the perfume bottle with hot tap water and pour in. Repeat this process at least twice.

Intense water flow can cause splashes and dissipate residual fragrance throughout the bathroom.

Wash the bottle with warm white vinegar. Heat 1/2 white vinegar cup (120 ml) in a microwave mug at 20 second intervals until it is warm but not hot. On the sink, pour the vinegar into the rinsed perfume bottle until it is full 3/4. Insert the opening into the bottle with your fingers and shake the bottle for 30 seconds.

Allow the vinegared bottle to stand in the sink for at least one hour to remove some of the odor.

After one hour, pour the used vinegar into the drain and rinse the vinegar with water to remove any residual odor.

At last ,then please clear the perfume bottle with water and put it in the sun to dry.
